Oben Group announces it has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement to acquire 100% of Terphane, a flexible packaging films business part of Tredegar Corporation. This acquisition includes manufacturing facilities in Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Brazil, and Bloomfield, New York, USA, expanding Oben’s footprint as a global player in the industry.

Terphane is a specialized Polyester films producer, known for its innovation and quality, exporting to over 30 countries. This move bolsters Oben’s position in the highly competitive flexible films industry and establishes local manufacturing in new locations.

Oben’s over 30 years of experience and diversified portfolio which includes BOPP, BOPET, CPP, BOPE, BOPA, Extrusion Coated Films and Thermoformed Products, and the combined synergies, will enhance overall customer service and operational efficiencies. Strategically, this acquisition further accelerates Oben’s additional expansion growth projects, especially in BOPET and BOPP films, in these new locations.
